Competition Terms and Conditions

 

1. This competition is promoted by HarperCollins Publishers Ltd (“HarperCollins”), Westerhill Road, Bishopsbriggs, Glasgow G64 2QT.

 

2.This promotion is open to all UK residents except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families.

 

3. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to enter this competition.

 

4. The competition opens at 18:00 GMT on 24 November 2022 and closes at 23:59 GMT on 8 December 2022. No entries received after this date will be accepted. Only one (1) entry is allowed per household.

 

5. The prize is one (1) book bundle and consists of one (1) of each of the following books:

 

  1. Cat Lady by Dawn O’Porter;

  2. Skincare: The New Edit by Caroline Hirons;

  3. The Game by Micah Richards;

  4. Minecraft Annual 2023 by Mojang AB;

  5. Made with Love by Tom Daley;

  6. Pokémon Annual 2023 by Pokémon

 

(the “Prize”).

 

There are two (2) Prizes to be won and there will be two (2) winners of the competition.

 

6. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the Prize.

 

7. No cash or alternatives to the Prize are available.

 

8. To enter the competition, sign up to the “HOLD” mobile app (the “App”) on your smart phone. Once you have accrued 50 points on the App, you may use these points to enter the competition, which is accessible via the App under the Marketplace. Details of the App can be found at https://www.hold.app/.

 

9. For the avoidance of doubt, you can only enter the competition if you have signed up to the App and have accrued 50 points within the App.

 

10. HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

 

11. The winners of the competition will be selected randomly by HOLD’s CMS based on entries received that have complied with these Terms and Conditions, and will be notified by email no later than the 15 December 2022.

 

12. The Prize will be delivered to the winner between 15 December 2022 and 29 December 2022. HarperCollins reserves the right to select different winners if either of the winners cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe.

 

13. HarperCollins will aim to adhere to the deadline for delivery stipulated, however if HarperCollins is unable to meet that deadline due to any circumstances arising as a direct or indirect result of a pandemic, epidemic or any other potential unforeseen factors outside of their control, HarperCollins will ensure relevant timely communication with the winner and, in the unlikely event that delivery becomes impossible, HarperCollins will offer a reasonable substitute of the Prize which is of equal or greater value.

 

14. Any application containing incorrect, false or unreadable information will be rejected. Any applications made on behalf of or for another person or multiple entries will not be included in the competition.

 

15. HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.

 

16. To obtain the name of the prize winner after the closing date, please write to FAO Pricing & Analytics Department, HarperCollins Publishers, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF.

 

17. The entry instructions are part of the Terms and Conditions for this competition.

 

18. By entering the competition, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you will mean that your entry will not be valid, and you will not be allowed to enter this competition.

 

19. All entrants are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the competition. HarperCollins reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify entrants at its absolute discretion.

 

20. By entering this competition, you are agreeing that if you win your name and image may be used for the purpose of announcing the winner in any related publicity with HarperCollins, without additional payment or permission.

22. Under no circumstances will HarperCollins be responsible for any loss, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion of the competition or prize.

 

23. Any dispute relating to the competition shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
